Jim graduated from Fresno State University in 1988 with a degree in Physical Education, with an emphasis on Athletic Training. After college Jim moved to Santa Barbara where he worked for Dan Ribbens Construction for four years, then Solid Rock Construction for one year. Jim wanted to excel in finish carpentry, so he decided to start his company in pursuit of the finer side of woodworking. Jim seeks the latest technologies to improve his trade, and strives to have an efficient, hardworking crew. Jim enjoys other facets of carpentry including decorative marquetry, wrapping fishing rods, furniture making, and wood-turning.

Annette has worked in the construction industry as a business owner and bookkeeper for over 30 years. She has been a competitive outrigger paddler and dragon boat racer for 25 years competing in national and international races all over the world. She has two boys, one in real estate and the other is getting his masters degree in architecture.
